Location: Onsite | Monday–Friday
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

*MUST BE LOCAL TO SOUTH JORDAN, UT

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an ambitious, analytical, and naturally curious individual to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to break into a highly specialized industry supporting R&D tax consulting for medical, dental, and cosmetic practices.

No prior R&D tax experience is required. This role offers extensive, hands-on training designed to teach you the business, industry, and internal processes from the ground up.

As the first point of contact for prospective clients, you'll conduct discovery conversations, gather key information about their business, and determine whether they are a good fit for the company's services. Qualified opportunities will then be transitioned to the Quantitative Team for further analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery calls with prospective medical, dental, and cosmetic practice clients.
  • Learn how to identify potential R&D tax opportunities through structured conversations.
  • Evaluate client eligibility based on established criteria and internal processes.
  • Accurately document findings and hand qualified opportunities to the Quantitative Team.
  • Build professional relationships while delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • Learn and navigate multiple internal systems and proprietary processes.
  • Participate in a structured onboarding program, including training videos, mock meetings, coaching sessions, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a genuine desire to continuously learn.
  • Comfortable learning technical concepts in a highly specialized industry.
  • Ability to work independently after training.

Preferred Backgrounds

Candidates from the following backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply:

  • Medical Assistant
  • Dental Assistant
  • Plastic Surgery Office
  • Medical or Dental Front Office
  • Patient Coordinator
  • Medical Customer Service Representative
  • Business Operations
  • Recent graduates with an interest in business, finance, science, or healthcare

What Makes Someone Successful

We're looking for someone with the right mindset more than a specific resume. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, enjoys learning complex concepts, asks thoughtful questions, and can confidently communicate with professionals. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a specialized business consulting environment.

What We Offer

  • Contract-to-hire opportunity
  • Comprehensive, structured training program
  • Exposure to a unique and highly specialized industry
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
