Position Summary and Role Impact:

The Director Business Systems Analysis is accountable for advancing the technology capabilities of the Recreational Lending business through strategic planning, systems modernization, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison between technology and business leadership, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable value, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer experiences.

This position exercises noteworthy influence across functional boundaries and serves as a strategic advisor to senior leaders in the evaluation and prioritization of technology investments, automation opportunities, and operational improvements.

The Director is responsible for providing technical leadership in the analysis, development, implementation, and governance of lending systems and workflows. This position works closely with business leaders, operations teams, vendors, and technology partners to ensure systems effectively support organizational objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and technically skilled professional with a strong understanding of lending operations, systems architecture, process automation, and change management. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, influencing strategic initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the Recreational Lending organization.

Essential Functions:

Leads the evaluation, analysis, redesign, and optimization of business processes across the Recreational Lending organization to identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, risk reduction, scalability, and enhanced customer outcomes

Serves as the primary business and technical subject matter expert for lending platforms, workflows, decision engines, integrations, data architecture, and supporting technologies.

Partners with executive leadership and business stakeholders to establish and execute a multi-year technology and systems strategy aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, operational priorities, and growth initiatives.

Develops and maintains technology roadmaps, business capability plans, and system modernization strategies to support organizational scalability and long-term business transformation.

Leads cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Risk, Compliance, Credit, Customer Support, Technology, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of strategic projects and enterprise objectives.

Provides strategic recommendations regarding system capabilities, architecture, automation opportunities, integrations, and emerging technologies that improve operational performance, customer experience, and business outcomes.

Oversees business requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-deployment optimization for complex business and technology initiatives.

Establishes governance standards, documentation practices, and operating procedures for business systems, workflows, system changes, and technology enhancements.

Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by translating business priorities into technology solutions and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes opportunities for workflow automation, robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven decision support capabilities.

Collaborates with development teams, technology partners, and vendors to design, implement, and support integrated solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.

Monitors system performance, utilization, service levels, and operational metrics; develops reporting and dashboards to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.

Leads root cause analysis and resolution efforts related to complex system issues, process failures, operational bottlenecks, and customer-impacting events.

Ensures lending systems, processes, and technical solutions remain compliant with applicable banking regulations, internal controls, audit requirements, data governance standards, and information security policies.

Evaluates vendor capabilities and technology solutions; participates in vendor selection, contract reviews, implementation planning, and ongoing relationship management.

Drives organizational change management efforts associated with new systems, process redesign, and technology adoption to maximize business value and user engagement.

Develops business cases, cost-benefit analyses, ROI assessments, and implementation strategies for technology investments and process improvement initiatives.

Facilitates prioritization of business and technology initiatives, balancing strategic objectives, operational needs, resource constraints, and regulatory requirements.

Promotes a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, recommending best practices, and championing innovative solutions that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.

Provides leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to project teams, business stakeholders, and less experienced analysts while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Represents the Recreational Lending business in enterprise technology planning, governance committees, strategic initiatives, and operational excellence programs.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a related field required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Five (5) years' experience in systems analysis, business systems support, software development, automation, or related technology roles is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Experience supporting financial services, lending, banking, or fintech platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading system implementation, automation, or process improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of systems analysis, application support, business process design, and software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing technical solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Strong programming and automation skills; experience with functional programming languages, APIs, integrations, or workflow automation platforms preferred.
  • Extensive experience supporting mission-critical business systems and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change through technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of lending operations, banking systems, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to interpret operational and performance data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management, planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of accountability, professionalism, judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, reporting tools, databases, and data analysis platforms. (Clojure and LoanPro is a plus)
