Staff Accountant job at City Wide Facility Solutions. Lenexa, KS.

City Wide is seeking an entry-level Franchise Accountant professional with excellent communication skills to join our team! Are you graduating soon or have a degree in Accounting and/or Finance? Do you have a strong attention to detail and enjoy helping other? If yes, consider the role with City Wide today!

The Franchise Accountant will be responsible for full-charge billable accounting services for several distinct City Wide franchise entities located across the US and Canada. The Franchise Accountant will partner with an assigned Franchise Controller, with both roles working directly with franchisee owners and other franchisee personnel. This position supports the franchisees with all accounting and finance processes within the City Wide Client Management System, leveraging a robust technology platform that includes Microsoft Business Central/ERP, Solver corporate performance management (reporting and planning platform), and Power BI.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Customer billing - contract and non-contract

  • Vendor disbursements

  • Contract management

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable management

  • Cash management/banking/reconciliations

  • Credit card charges and payments

  • Payroll support and review

  • Sales and use tax reporting

  • Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Monthly financial statement close process

  • Internal control adherence/enhancement

  • Financial reporting (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)

  • Financial forecasting/budgeting (three statements)

  • Support of third parties and related audits (accounting/CPA, insurance providers)

  • Ad hoc accounting projects, financial reporting and analysis

  • Liaison with franchisee ownership/key personnel

Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Demonstrated full-charge accounting experience.

  • Systems/data oriented โ€“ Command of accounting systems and data management; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central desirable.

  • Client-service oriented - Ability to provide responsive service to franchisee clients while following company procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Precision/Detail Oriented โ€“ Accuracy/precision is daily work product.

  • Continuous improvement orientation - Com.

  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

  • Problem Solving/Analytical skills - Ability to identify and implement scalable solutions to automate processes; drive proactively.

  • This position will be on site at the City Wide Corporation Office in Lenexa, KS.
