Southside Region, VA

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Hospice Liaison / Business Development Representative to serve our Southside territory. This is not an entry-level sales position. The ideal candidate understands hospice philosophy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping patients and families access compassionate end-of-life care through trusted community partnerships.

As a Hospice Business Development Representative, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

โ€ข Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other referral partners throughout the Southside territory
โ€ข Educate healthcare professionals and community partners regarding hospice eligibility, services, and benefits
โ€ข Generate appropriate hospice referrals through consistent outreach, relationship-building, and follow-up
โ€ข Collaborate closely with admissions staff, clinical teams, and leadership to support patient needs and growth initiatives
โ€ข Develop and execute territory business development plans and weekly outreach strategies
โ€ข Document activities, referral development efforts, and territory updates using Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and company systems
โ€ข Represent Interim HealthCare Hospice at community events, educational programs, and networking opportunities
โ€ข Respond promptly and professionally to referral opportunities, inquiries, and customer concerns
โ€ข Utilize contact management systems to track activities, referral sources, and account development efforts
โ€ข Meet established productivity, growth, and customer service goals

โ€ข Prepare and conduct presentations regarding Interimย HealthCare Hospice to referral sources, communityย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย organizations, and healthcare professionals

โ€ข In conjunction with leadership, develop and execute key account plans to strengthen referral relationships and expand market share

A few must-haves for our Hospice Liaison / Business Development Representative:

โ€ข Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare sales experience required; hospice experience strongly preferred
โ€ข Demonstrated success achieving referral growth, census growth, or sales objectives
โ€ข Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
โ€ข Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
โ€ข Ability to work independently while remaining highly accountable for results
โ€ข Professional appearance, conduct, and communication skills
โ€ข Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and related technology platforms
โ€ข Strong understanding of hospice philosophy and commitment to ethical patient-centered care
