Job description

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Staff Backend Engineer - Crypto - this is a fully onsite role in NYC or London.

As a Backend Engineer focused on data, youll design and scale our real-time data infrastructure at the forefront of crypto and social finance. You will:

  • Interact directly with Solana full nodes and RPC infrastructure to extract raw on-chain data at high throughput

  • Build and operate reliable pipelines that ingest blockchain data into ClickHouse (or other OLAP systems) for low-latency analytics

  • Maintain the accuracy, uptime, and performance of our analytics services, ensuring stakeholders always have trusted insights

  • Architect, ship, and own high-performance data solutions that power the worlds largest crypto social network

  • Solve complex challenges around data consistency, scale, and performance where innovation and efficiency are paramount

  • Collaborate with a world-class team of engineers and product leaders; own your work from concept to production


Who You Are

  • An engineer with strong experience in any of: backend systems, data engineering, distributed systems, or high-performance computing

  • Passionate about building scalable platforms that handle massive data volumes and enable real-time insights

  • Experienced with databases, streaming systems, or analytics platforms (e.g., ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, or similar columnar/time-series databases)

  • Comfortable with Rust, Go, or other systems programming languages

  • A problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and executes quickly

  • Ownership-driven, capable of leading features end-to-end with minimal guidance

  • Experienced in high-growth environments, startups, or fast-moving product teams where speed and impact matter

  • Excited to work alongside top-tier engineers and push the boundaries of how people interact with crypto

  • Familiarity with crypto, DeFi, or blockchain technologies
