Assist with the coordination and execution of campus events by supporting IT staff and event organizers with basic A/V and technology setup, event support, and equipment handling. This student position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event operations, technology, customer service, and live production while working under the guidance and supervision of experienced IT staff.

Responsibilities and Career Competencies:

1. Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of A/V and IT equipmentfor campus events under the direction of IT staff or event supervisors. - C, TW, P, T
2. Assist with monitoring A/V equipment during live events, including microphones, projectors, sound systems, and other A/V accessories, and notify IT staff of issues as they arise. - C, TW, P, T
3. Provide basic on-site event supportby assisting event staff and participants with routine technology needs and referring technical issues to IT staff or supervisors when additional assistance is needed. - C, TW, CT, P, T
4. Communicate with event staff, faculty, and IT supervisorsregarding event needs, schedules, equipment requests, and issues, with guidance from assigned supervisors. - C, TW, P
5. Assist with inventory, equipment maintenance, and storageby helping organize, transport, clean, and properly store equipment according to established procedures. - C, P, T
6. Follow established safety and equipment-handling proceduresand seek assistance from supervisors when unsure about proper procedures or equipment use. - P, T
7. Represent the university professionallywhen interacting with event guests, participants, faculty, staff, and other members of the campus community. - P, C, TW
8. Learn and follow established IT and event support procedureswhile developing familiarity with A/V equipment, event technology, and customer service practices. - C, P, T
9. Work as part of the event support teamby completing assigned tasks, following supervisor direction, and communicating questions or concerns as needed. - C, TW, P
