Job description

Firma Concrete is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Coordinator/Summer Student to assist with project tracking, document control, quantity tracking, project tracking, and general project support on civil/underground a construction project downtown Edmonton area.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with quantity tracking, progress reporting, and daily project documentation
  • Summarizing job costs
  • Updating progress drawings to be shared with our client
  • Ordering materials, survey requested and quality checks
  • Assist project teams with day to day tasks
  • Maintain project filing systems
  • Track deficiencies and assist with closeout documentation
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, and subcontractors
  • Assist with quantity tracking, progress reporting, and daily project documentation
  • Support safety and quality initiatives on site
  • Other project coordination duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or recently completed Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related program
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel & Bluebeam
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Construction experience is considered an asset
  • Concrete construction knowledge is considered an asset
