JOB SUMMARY:

This role will support the Global Technology & Innovation department with review and redline of contracts under the guidance of in house counsel. The intern will become familiar with our processes, contract review, vendor engagements and see contracts up through execution.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Draft and proof various agreements and contract documents under the direction of Sr. Attorney and Sr. Director of the Technology Transactions division of Legal Affairs.
  • Assist in compliance tracking and follow up related to an array of matters as needed.
  • Research legal related matters as directed by the Sr. Attorney or Sr. Director of of the Technology Transactions division of Legal Affairs.
  • Assist with various department initiatives.
  • Assist with other legal related tasks assigned by other legal department leaders.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of a Graduate student.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Preferred majors include: Juris Doctorate and 2L or higher.
  • Demonstrated coursework in transactional law (advanced Contracts courses (past standard 1L Contract Law) such as: Business Transactions, Business Administration, Entertainment Law, Contract Drafting, IP Law)
  • Have taken a specific Software licensing course, tech law or privacy law course.
  • Firm understanding of contract basics, firm understanding of business entities & practices, strong drafting and reading comprehension skills, and desire to work in a business environment.
  • Tech experience of some form (prior job, bachelor's degree (major or minor) in Computer Science or related field, or demonstrated experience in tech).

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
