  • This is not an hourly position. The Student Employee will be paid at the end of the semester when the supervisor issues payment.
  • This position is paid via stipend of $200 semesterly if all requirements are met:
    • Attend all meetings, as required, with the CAB advisor.
    • No meetings should be missed by executive board members unless excused by CAB advisor, President, or Vice President.
    • Members that cannot attend meetings and events must clear it with the President, Vice President, or the Advisor within 48 hours of said meeting or event with the exception of emergency situations. The President, Vice President, or the Advisor has the discretion to determine what is and is not excusable.
    • Executive Board Members must attend at least 80% of events per semester.
    • If you are the position planning the event you MUST attend the event.
    • There must always be at least two Executive board members at all CAB events.
    • Comply with all constitutional duties and reasonable requests by the President or other Executive Board members.
    • Remain in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University and maintain a 2.5

Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester
Purpose: Is responsible for programming at least 2 events per semester and contacting agencies/companies for programming for entertainment events. There are two entertainment chairs. One entertainment chair focuses on programming surrounding gaming such as trivia, game shows, murder mystery, and more. The second entertainment chair focuses on programming surrounding performers such as comedians, musicians, acts, shows, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Shall be responsible and present for all entertainment programming events at least 2 a semester.
  • Shall be responsible for setting up and getting ready for events and the supplies needed.
  • Shall be responsible for keeping organization visible on campus.
  • Shall be responsible for clean up at events
  • Shall be responsible for assisting with fundraising events.
  • Shall be willing to work with other Executive Board members if they need help with an event
  • Shall be responsible for following through on all aspects of the company contracts with the exception of final negotiations, which will be completed by the CAB advisor (signing of document)
  • Shall be responsible for turning in an event evaluation form to the Chief of Staff within two weeks of an event.
  • Shall work with Campus Police when security is needed for events.
  • Shall be responsible for turning in all receipts to the Vice President of Operations within two weeks of an event.
  • Must have a sign in sheet at all events. The Coordinator is responsible for signing in and out of all events to help maintain a valid active member roster
  • Shall meet with the CAB advisor bi-weekly at a minimum
  • All executive board members are required to attend weekly meetings. All general members are expected to attend every other weekly meeting with the executive board. On the weeks that the general members are not meeting with the executive board, the general members must meet with their chair as a committee at another time during the week.

Duties & Responsibilities for all Campus Activities Executive Board:
  • Shall work with the entire executive board to assist with all CAB events as needed
  • Shall be responsible for setting up, getting ready for events, purchasing or organizing the supplies as needed, and assisting with clean up after said events
  • Shall be responsible for keeping CAB visible on campus
  • Shall be responsible for assisting with fundraising events
  • Shall work with the Chief Marketing Officer to help advertise assigned events, including, but not limited to, getting PR Requests to the official MSJ Marketing office in a timely manner
  • Shall be responsible for following through on all aspects of the company contracts with the exception of final negotiations, which will be completed by the CAB advisor (signing of document)
  • Shall be responsible for turning in an event evaluation form to the Vice President within two weeks of an event
  • Shall work with Campus Police when security is needed for events.
  • Shall be responsible for turning in all receipts to the Vice President of Operations within two weeks of an event
  • Must check in all MSJ community members into all events. The event host is responsible for signing in and out of all events to help maintain a valid active member roster
  • All executive board members are required to attend weekly meetings. All general members are expected to attend every other weekly meeting with the executive board
  • Meet bi-weekly with the Advisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
  • Applicants for President and Vice President of CAB must have served at least one semester on CAB
  • Uphold and remain in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University
  • Uphold and maintain a GPA of 2.5 semesterly
  • Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines
  • Well organized, punctual, and reliable
  • The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University
