Position Summary
The Enterprise Excellence Engineer serves as a strategic business partner responsible for driving execution of site priorities through project portfolio management, business performance governance, and Enterprise Excellence deployment. This role partners with site leadership to implement the Teleflex Operating Playbook, manage strategic initiatives, and build systems that improve value flow, strengthen execution, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Principal Responsibilities
• Own and maintain the site's strategic project and improvement portfolio, including governance of the Cost Improvement Program (CIP), ensuring initiatives are prioritized, resourced, executed, and delivered to achieve business objectives, project milestones, and savings commitments.
• Serve as the site and regional owner of the Project Management System (Planview), ensuring portfolio
• visibility, project governance, data integrity, resource planning, and reporting of strategic initiatives.
• Partner with functional leaders to establish priorities, drive accountability, and deliver key initiatives and business commitments.
• Lead project reviews and business performance cadences to drive visibility, alignment, accountability, and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain project management, visual management, and performance tracking systems to support organizational execution and continuous improvement.
• Support annual business planning, strategy deployment, and site transformation activities.
• Drive implementation and sustainment of the Teleflex Operating Playbook and Enterprise Excellence strategy, including associated management systems, governance processes, and continuous improvement practices, to improve business performance and organizational effectiveness.
• Lead and facilitate structured problem solving, kaizen events, value stream improvements, and other continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Enterprise Excellence principles and methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost performance.
• Coach and influence leaders and stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, and supporting functions to strengthen problem-solving capability, accountability, and execution discipline.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, ownership, and data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, project management, enterprise excellence, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation roles, with demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving business results.
• Prior experience in regulated manufacturing, medical device, healthcare, or distribution environments (preferred).
• Experience managing project portfolios, strategic initiatives, or PMO-related activities (preferred).
• Broad application of basic and advanced engineering, analytical, project management, and Enterprise Excellence concepts (preferred).
• Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma, PMP, or related certifications (preferred).
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and advanced business applications such as Visio, MS Project, Planview, CAD, Minitab, and other project management and analytical tools.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Excellence principles and methodologies, including Structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, 5S plus Safety, Standard Work, Error Proofing, and SMED.
• Knowledge of Shingo Model, Training Within Industry (TWI), Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Methods (preferred).
• Strong project management, organizational leadership, facilitation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence without authority, lead change, and drive accountability across functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Adept at relationship building across functions and organizational levels to effectively leverage resources and drive organizational objectives.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $110,500 - $165,800, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
