Position Summary
The Host / Hostess serves as the first and last point of contact for guests dining at Vinarosa Resort's restaurants and lounges, setting the tone for a welcoming, organized, and polished guest experience. This role is responsible for managing reservations, coordinating table seating, and supporting smooth service flow while maintaining a calm, professional presence in a fast-paced environment. Hosts are expected to balance guest hospitality with operational awareness, ensuring accurate wait times, proper table utilization, and clear communication with service and leadership teams. Working collaboratively across departments, this position supports service pacing, cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards. Attention to detail, professionalism, and a guest-first mindset are essential to success. The Host / Hostess plays a critical role in guest satisfaction, first impressions, and overall dining experience quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, providing a professional and welcoming first impression
• Manage reservations and walk-in traffic using designated reservation and seating systems
• Coordinate table assignments to support proper service pacing and balanced server sections
• Communicate accurate wait times and dining options to guests in a courteous manner
• Monitor dining room flow and collaborate with service staff to optimize table turns
• Maintain awareness of special requests, accessibility needs, and guest preferences
• Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and provide information about menus and amenities
• Support service recovery efforts by escalating guest concerns to leadership as appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance areas
• Assist with opening and closing duties including setup, breakdown, and side work
• Adhere to appearance, grooming, and professionalism standards at all times
