Job Summary:
The University of Minnesota is dedicated to innovative education and student development, and they are seeking an Enrollment Data Analyst. This role is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing student data to drive strategic decisions, build dashboards, predict enrollment trends, and maintain data integrity in systems like Slate.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform descriptive and predictive analyses on the student lifecycle, including application, admission, yield, and retention trends.
โ€ข Collaborate with leadership to create enrollment projections and financial aid modeling.
โ€ข Manage, query, and optimize student information systems (e.g., Slate, People Soft, Asana).
โ€ข Develop, maintain, and update interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for stakeholders.
โ€ข Conduct data audits, ensure compliance with FERPA/GDPR regulations, and maintain accurate records.
โ€ข Maintain positive working relationships with outside vendors.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field with 2 years of experience in data analytics, with higher education enrollment management or admissions data preferred, or Masterโ€™s degree
โ€ข Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel; experience with CRM systems (Slate) and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
โ€ข Strong ability to manipulate complex datasets and present findings to non-technical audiences.
