Buildings:ย  Split time between Wayne Center, North Side, and South Side Elementary Schoolsย ย  ย 

Full-time position to start October 2026ย 

East Noble School Corporation is seeking an English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to support multilingual learners in grades K5. This teacher will provide targeted English language development instruction, collaborate with classroom teachers, and foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and language acquisition for all English learners.ย  The ELL Teacher will work closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators to ensure equitable access to curriculum and educational opportunities while supporting students' linguistic, academic, and social-emotional growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct English language development (ELD) instruction to English learners in grades K5.
  • Develop and implement instructional strategies that support language acquisition and academic success.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language supports within core instruction.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records related to language proficiency and academic achievement.
  • Administer and support state-required English language proficiency assessments.
  • Assist in the identification, placement, and monitoring of English learners in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and available support services.
  • Participate in student support teams, professional learning communities, and school improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements related to English learner programs.
  • Foster a welcoming and culturally responsive learning environment for students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications:

Required -ย 

  • Valid Indiana Teaching License.
  • Certification in English Learners (EL)
  • Knowledge of second language acquisition and effective instructional practices for multilingual learners.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Preferred -ย 

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students
  • Experience collaborating with classroom teachers in inclusive instructional settings.
