Construction Assistant Project Manager (Mission-Critical)

THIS IS A CONSTRUCTION POSITION NOT A SOFTWARE/IT ENGINEERING ROLE. Candidates must have hands-on commercial construction experience with a General Contractor.

As we continue to expand our Mission Critical and Data Center portfolio, we are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager who is passionate about project management and eager to help deliver complex, fast-paced projects that demand the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report directly to SPM/PM for your project
  • Process RFIs and Submittals
  • Perform Job set-up (non-financial)
  • Assist with close out process
  • Post plan changes (PR, RFP, ASI, Addenda, bulletins)
  • Compile and submit subcontractor pricing (after review by SPM/PM)
  • Lead subcontractor preconstruction meetings
  • Lead Owner/Architect/Consultant meetings
  • Lead coordination and final coordination meeting on storm shelters if required
  • Complete coordination with major trades
  • Review subcontractors pay applications
  • Assemble owner billings
  • Assist with buying out subcontracts
  • Assist with putting together subcontract documents
  • Attend and help estimating during bid days
  • Base knowledge of project financials
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing
  • Other tasks as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Construction Science preferred
  • 2-4 years in construction field serving onsite as Project Engineer or in similar APM role
PREFERRED
  • Experience with data center, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, or large commercial construction projects.
  • Exposure to MEP systems coordination and installation.
  • Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience.
