Midtronics is always on the lookout for talented professionals. Our Engineering Project Manager position will perform all project management related tasks for the Global Platform development team. In this role, the individual will act as a technical leader, owning the schedule, managing risks, track tasks, and ensuring every project is delivered on time with quality. In addition, interfacing with product management, sales, and customers is required for this role to ensure our customers' needs are met. This position is a precursor to Lead and/or Supervisory positions.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
  • Own project budget, schedule and overall project outcomes.
  • Coordinate and monitor projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Drive Hardware and Software proof of concept, design and development projects
  • Gather required data from end-users to evaluate and align on Goals, Objectives and Scope
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
  • Ensure projects are completed on scope, schedule and budget with quality by keeping teams accountable to project goals.
  • Perform all project management related tasks for global product design and development teams.
  • Manage Risks and Issues
  • Create, track and measure KPIs and Metrics
  • Interface with product management, sales, and customers to ensure our customers' needs are met.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • BS in Engineering or related required, MS a plus
  • 3-5+ years' experience in Engineering project management
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Hands on electronics development experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience with both Hardware and Software design and development
  • Experience working with Supply Chain teams
  • Extensive experience creating a detailed schedule, managing projects, and related project management functions
  • Detailed knowledge of waterfall and Agile design methodologies and all aspects of product design process
  • Experience with presenting to executive leadership and clearly communicating the status of projects
  • Ability to establish/revise/execute process change to gain engineering efficiency as well as identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Leadership qualities to work with cross functional teams, vendors, customers across the globe
  • Ownership behaviors to gather input and feedback from all stakeholders to arrive at consensus and common goals
  • Knowledge of cars and the automotive industry a plus
  • Understanding of manufacturing and creation of marketing materials a plus
