Job Description

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects of small multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the design, development, and production of cutting-edge custom products. The Engineering Project Manager has ultimate technical decision-making control and is the primary project point-of-contact to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project Manager for multiple projects valued in the $500k to $5M range

  • Coordinate a mix of engineering development and small-scale production activities in the area of custom products

  • Point-of-contact for customers and the leader of day-to-day activities of small (1-10 person), multidisciplinary project teams, including both junior and senior level engineers

  • Take projects through the entire life cycle from project conception and proposal through design and production utilizing existing process methodologies

  • Responsible for coordinating with both internal and external groups to meet the cost, schedule and technical goals of the program while managing risk and motivating the team

  • Contribute to the growth of the organization via interaction with senior management, peers, and subordinates

  • Manage and complete performance reviews for project team members

  • Participate in department growth and process improvement activities.

  • Have ultimate technical decision-making control during the development of cutting-edge products.

  • Lead your project teams via daily interactions, weekly meetings, and monthly customer reviews.

Additional Qualified Skills

  • Strong technical background in wireless communication technologies

  • Experience managing people OR leading a project

  • High-level knowledge of design principles for both hardware and software engineering

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate technical trade-offs is essential while also considering the impacts to cost and schedule

  • Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in project management

  • Occasional domestic travel is required

Target Base Salary Range: $98,100 - $156,200 USD
