Manufacturing Engineer II
Summary:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer II is the second of three levels of manufacturing engineering and is responsible for projects that improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Lead workflow improvements by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Mentor production personnel in the principles of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Plan facility layouts to optimize workflow and develop proper set-up techniques.
  • Develop production standards and perform time studies.
  • Collaborate with Lead Hands and those in support functions to improve fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to increase the manufacturability of products.
  • Develop, procure, justify, and validate tooling, fixtures, capital equipment, and automation.
  • As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or associate degree in engineering program is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; knowledge of IFS is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
