Job description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking experienced candidates for a Engineering Technician role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for precision manufacturing, process optimization, and a strong commitment to quality. With a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration between engineering and production, they take pride in delivering efficient, scalable manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support manufacturing engineers with process development, optimization, and implementation.
· Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining manufacturing work instructions, routings, and process documentation.
· Provide hands-on support to production by troubleshooting manufacturing, tooling, and process-related issues.
· Assist with CNC machining process support, tooling evaluations, and fixture development.
· Collect and analyze production data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
· Support new product introductions (NPI), including process validation and first-article support.
· Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
· Assist with implementation of engineering changes and lean manufacturing initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical training in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
· Prior experience as a Manufacturing or Engineering Technician in a production environment preferred.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
· Experience with tooling, fixtures, and production support is a plus.
· Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
