Job description

Mechanical Engineer Internship
We are currently in search of a Mechanical Engineer Internship to join our Research and Development department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).
The Mechanical Engineering Internwill provide support to the mechanical engineering team.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic engineering calculations, including tolerance stacks to support design development
  • Participate in product testing, including setup, data collection, and documentation
  • Build and evaluate prototypes in the lab
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and problem solving activities
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Manager

Required Qualifications for thisrole include:
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Familiarity with CAD software (CATIA or Siemens NX preferred)
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and mechanical principles
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft M365 (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint...etc.)
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organization skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative
  • Ability to work 25+ hours per week
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).

  • Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception for extended periods
