Job description

This position is located in the Merchandise Department at Graceland working in the Enesco experience, having variable/flexible working hours to include weekends, holidays, evening, and overtime as required. The rate of pay for this position is $16.00 per hour. 
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Merchandise Supervisors,  assist guests with purchasing selections by making appropriate suggestions, answering questions on Enesco products and villages; process sales by entering correct prices in a computerized sales system through cash, or credit cards; stock and clean various merchandise racks as required; other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Experience using computerized cash systems and processing credit cards is helpful; must be able to work with large sums of money and be accurate; ability to cope with heavy workload; excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the telephone are essential; ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision; excellent attention to detail; ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality; ability to deal successfully with a wide range of people; ability to work under pressure of deadlines and competing needs; ability to handle multiple tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
Ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to stoop and reach; ability to speak clearly and distinctly; lift packages weighing up to twenty-five (40) pounds.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: No smoking or eating in work area; uniform is required.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
 Ability to work flexible, variable hours/days and overtime as required to include weekends and holidays.
