  • Submit and manage Caterpillar marketing and credit memo claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing and posting.
  • Reconcile suspense accounts and monitor claims and vendor activity.

Profitability and Margin Analysis

  • Assist in the development of a tiered customer discount structure based on annual customer spend.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in identifying applicable Caterpillar programs and pricing strategies for specific customers and deals.
  • Maintain and update customer accounts in the ERP with accurate discount levels and discount priority sequencing, working with the go-to-market teams and the Supply Chain Manager to audit and validate these changes.
  • Monitor and audit strategic customer discount agreements to ensure spend commitments and timelines promised by the customer or sales representative are actually being met, and recommend adjustments to discounts when they are not, protecting profitability for the dealership while maintaining fairness to the customer.
  • Begin tracking competitive market pricing to inform pricing recommendations over time.

Caterpillar Program Ownership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Caterpillar pricing program changes and updates.
  • Ensure Caterpillar programs are accurately mapped and maintained within the ERP system.
