The Senior Pricing Analyst develops pricing models, researches ratemaking practices, and translates market and cost signals into clear recommendations. This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who can work independently, partner across functions, and mentor junior analysts while helping improve pricing effectiveness over time.

How You Will Do It
  • Perform advanced quantitative pricing analysis to support profitability, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and manage multi-category pricing strategies aligned with customer needs, product categories, and market segments.

  • Research ratemaking practices and current pricing models, then turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Analyze competitor pricing structures, market dynamics, and strategic positioning to strengthen Johnson Controls' competitive approach.

  • Track pricing changes in relation to commodity and material input movement and recommend timely updates to pricing strategies.

  • Build dynamic pricing tools and scalable automated processes that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of analysis.

  • Use statistical modeling to evaluate the impact of current and future pricing scenarios.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to align pricing strategies with business objectives.

  • Support cross-functional teams with concise verbal, written, and visual communication for leadership and stakeholders.

  • Guide and mentor junior pricing analysts, sharing best practices and strengthening team capability.

  • Own the quality and integrity of your analysisby validating data, documenting assumptions, and building recommendations that leaders can trust.

  • Stay close to the work and the customerby partnering across Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to understand real market needs.

  • Improve every dayby challenging assumptions, testing methods, and refining models through continuous learning and disciplined problem-solving.

What we look for
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or other quantitative disciplines, with strong foundational knowledge in analytical methodologies.

  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience ina pricingor analytics role, showcasing a track record of success in pricing strategy development.

  • Proficiency in conducting quantitative analyses and developing analytical models, dashboards, data visualizations, and decision-making tools to support strategic initiatives.

  • Strong technical skills in Excel, SAS, R, Python, SQL, and/or Tableau, with the ability to leverage these tools for data analysis and visualization.

  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data, research, and analyses into simple, concise, and actionable insights that drive business decisions.

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, witha keenattention to detail.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling effective collaboration with peers, management, and other key stakeholders across the organization.

Preferred
  • Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or other quantitative related fields, with a strong emphasis on advanced analytical techniques and strategic pricing

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000- 117,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
