** This is a part-time temporary role not to exceed 30 weeks **

The Senior Structural Engineer will:

  • Provide support to NASA/ES to Review of Commercial CrewStress Reports to support first flight NET Jan 2024
  • Review of components and subsystem hardware designs
  • Prior Experience reviewing Structural verification plans and structural analysis for NASA spaceflight hardware
  • Fracture Control experience for spaceflight hardware, understand of NASA fracture control requirements and implementation
  • Review Structural Analysis Reportsand create a spreadsheet databasewith comments and questions
  • Meet with Sierra to resolve comments and questions as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
Requisition Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and may be expected to have a related master's or higher degree and normally possess 15+ years of related experience
  • BSME in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Requisition Preferences:

  • 15+ years experience in NASA Spaceflight hardware structures and analysis
