Position Title: Senior Energy EngineerThe Senior Energy Engineer is an opportunity to be at the forefront of California's clean energy transformation. Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities: - Manage energy efficiency and electrification projects from planning through implementation
- Conduct facility site visits, equipment audits, and energy assessments
- Identify opportunities for energy savings, electrification, and decarbonization
- Develop feasibility studies and strategic energy initiatives
- Present technical recommendations and solutions to clients and stakeholders
- Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, and implementation activities
- Perform measurement and verification (M&V) activities
- Prepare energy savings calculations and technical analyses
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and utility partners
- Lead client meetings and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Train and mentor junior engineering staff
- Ensure compliance with California utility program requirements and regulations
Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, energy management, or related engineering fields
- Significant experience working with California utility energy efficiency programs
- Strong understanding of California/CPUC energy efficiency policies and program requirements
- Experience with commercial building systems, including HVAC, domestic hot water, building automation systems, refrigeration, and/or data center infrastructure
- Experience developing and conducting M&V activities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or similar energy modeling software
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams
- Additional certifications or advanced technical training related to energy engineering
