Description
Invent the future with us.
Ampere is a semiconductor design company for a new era, leading the future of computing with an innovative approach to CPU design focused on high-performance, energy efficient AI compute.
As a pioneer in the new frontier of energy efficient high-performance computing, Ampere is part of the SoftBank Group of companies driving sustainable computing for AI, Cloud, and edge applications.
Join us at Ampere and work alongside a passionate and growing team - we'd love to have you apply!
About the Role:
Ampere is seeking a strategic and technical Endpoint Manager to lead our Global Endpoint Management Team (EMT). This role is responsible for the vision, architecture, and security posture of our global laptop fleet. You will drive the convergence of endpoint management and InfoSec strategy, ensuring that every Windows, macOS, and Linux device meets rigorous compliance standards. As a leader, you will manage a global team to deliver a world-class, zero-trust access model and a seamless employee experience.
Leading the Endpoint Management Team at Ampere offers the opportunity to architect the future of our digital workspace. You will move beyond traditional MDM into advanced identity-driven security, influencing how Ampere scales its global infrastructure. This role is pivotal in our transition to a native Microsoft enforcement model and requires a leader who can balance high-level strategy with deep technical execution in a fast-paced cloud environment.
What You'll Achieve:
  • Strategic Fleet Leadership: Direct the global configuration and lifecycle management for Windows (Intune), macOS (IRU/Kandji), and establish a new centralized management framework for Linux.
  • Security & Compliance Architecture: Align endpoint controls with the broader InfoSec strategy, focusing on hardware-bound identity and granular compliance telemetry to satisfy Entra Conditional Access requirements.
  • Zero-Trust Access Posture: Modernize remote access workflows by transitioning from legacy VPN/Banyan paths to Entra-native device trust and Cato-integrated security enforcement.
  • Advanced Release Management: Orchestrate the global release lifecycle for OS updates and third-party applications, ensuring rapid remediation of vulnerabilities across managed and unmanaged software.
  • Global Team Management: Lead and mentor a global team of engineers in the US, India, and Vietnam, fostering a culture of automation, documentation, and operational excellence.
  • Policy & Governance: Develop and enforce endpoint security policies, including local admin restrictions, disk encryption, and CIS benchmark adherence, while closing gaps in temporary privilege elevation.
  • Performance & Health Analytics: Leverage telemetry from SentinelOne, Cortex XDR, and MDM platforms to drive proactive maintenance and optimize device performance for the global workforce.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field with 8 years minimum experience in Endpoint Engineering or Systems Architecture; or Master's degree in a related technical field with 5 years minimum experience in Endpoint Engineering or Systems Architecture.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience (e.g., leading a team of engineers; setting goals; coaching; performance feedback; managing hiring/onboarding or workforce planning).
  • Expertise in architecting Microsoft Intune and Kandji at scale, with a proven track record of implementing Linux management solutions in a corporate environment.
  • Deep understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), specifically Entra ID Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
  • Strong InfoSec background with experience managing endpoint security stacks (EDR/XDR, Vulnerability Management, and Encryption).
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience in high-growth environments, with the ability to design scalable processes for automated provisioning and global support.

What We'll Offer:
At Ampere we believe in taking care of our employees and providing a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, cash long-term incentive, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $172,000 and $258,000.
Our benefits include health, wellness, and financial programs that support employees through every stage of life.
Benefit highlights include:
  • Premium medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, as well as income protection and a 401K retirement plan, so that you can feel secure in your health and financial future.
  • Unlimited Flextime and 10+ paid holidays so that you can embrace a healthy work-life balance.
  • A variety of healthy snacks, energizing espresso, and refreshing drinks to keep you fueled and focused throughout the day.

And there is much more than compensation and benefits. At Ampere, we foster an inclusive culture that empowers our employees to do more and grow more. We are excited to share more about our career opportunities with you through the interview process.
