Description MANAGER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DUAL CERTIFICATION RECRUITMENT The established Eligibility List will remain in effect for one year. They possess a strong understanding of TK-12 educational environments and recognize that technology decisions must balance instructional needs, operational requirements, cybersecurity, fiscal responsibility, and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate is a systems thinker who can identify root causes, improve processes, and build reliable, scalable technology services.

The Position: Under the direction of the Director, Information Technology or other assigned administrator, the Manager, Information Technology, is responsible for managing and overseeing the efficient delivery of information system services and technology resources to all sites and users district-wide.

This position is responsible for managing daily operations of assigned staff including supervision and evaluation; facilitating effective communication between staff and sites; coordinating new and existing information technology department projects; developing project plans and effectively managing resources to ensure that technology solutions are aligned to District goals. ELIGIBILITY LIST Upon completion of the examination, the eligibility list will be compiled by combining the final examination score with applicable seniority and veteran's credits, if any. The candidates will be ranked according to their total score on the eligibility list. Certification will be made from the highest three ranks of the eligibility list.

This eligibility list will be used to fill current vacancies for up to one year from the date of the technical interview or the eligibility list is exhausted. PROBATIONARY PERIOD All appointments made from this eligibility list for initial appointment or for promotion, with certain exceptions, shall be probationary for a period of one (1) year of paid service from initial appointment or promotion. Application and Selection Process All applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in the examination process for the position. The final score will determine the candidate's rank on the eligibility list. A candidate in the top three ranks (including tie scores) on the eligibility list may be considered for hire; when there are multiple vacancies in the same job classification, additional ranks will be considered. Open and Promotional examinations are open to applicants inside and outside the Lompoc Unified School District.

To qualify for the promotional examination, employees must have permanent status in the Lompoc Unified School District as a classified employee. Promotional Only examinations are open to current Lompoc Unified School District classified employees only. For employees to qualify for the promotional examination, they must have permanent status in the District as a classified employee.

Dual Certification examinations are open to all applicants, including current Lompoc Unified School District employees and those from the general public. Dual Certification results are integrated into one eligibility list based on rank. Eligibility lists are generally valid for up to one (1) year.

Lists may be exhausted prior to the original expiration date, or they may be extended with the approval of the Personnel Commission.
