Here's what you will do:

  • Utilize civil engineering technicalexpertisetoidentifyand secure new business while assessing technical feasibility, zero based design, andoptimizingvalue.
  • Maintain the customer baseand increase profitability for the Enbridge GTM assets in the Southern Region, including Texas and Louisiana.
  • Apply civil engineeringexpertiseto help develop demand pull from Mexicanmarkets and manage all activities relating to existing business relationship management and new business development through the review, evaluation, contractnegotiationand approvalprocesses, including the coordination of operational requirements and back-office support, assuring corporate criteria for capital investment have beenproperly measuredand achieved.
  • Utilize civil engineering background andexpertiseto develop technicallyfeasibleprojects and oversee such projects frominceptionthrough execution.
  • Scopes projects that involve craftingalternate project options to help select efficient project solutionstocommercial opportunities.
  • Support commercial origination strategy for Enbridge GTM assets in the Southern Region.
  • Utilize knowledge of Mexican markets to create opportunities for more natural gas exports into Mexico.
  • Support and lead sourcing and developing civil engineering projects with capitalinvestments in hundreds of millions or billions of dollars with similarly scaled EBITDA expectations.
  • Develop andmaintaincommunication with existing customers toretainand assessadditionalinvestment opportunities and contract renewals which align with the Company's strategy.
  • Generate incremental and existing customer business through the identification ofoptimization opportunities and new expansion project development, including assisting in M&A strategy.
  • Conduct and/or support direct negotiations with existing and prospective customersand gather supporting department support throughout the entire negotiation cycle for full due diligence activities.
  • Identify, conceptualize, and qualify growth projects for onshore gas workingclosely with customers and partners as well as internal technical, legal, and regulatory resources.
  • Resolve issues that might arise relating to revenue billing; nominations and scheduling;credit; operations; rates and certificates and other commercial issues.
  • Market development opportunities for prospective customers, developing and managing processes where applicableandnegotiatingterms with customers and partners.
  • Maintain working knowledge of commercial operations, customer, and competitive landscape for Enbridge's gas markets.
  • Overseerelationship and consensus building across several internal departments, including but not limited to Regulatory, Legal, Engineering, System Planning, Capacity Services, ProjectDevelopment, Economic Evaluation, Marketing, Contracts, CommercialOperationsand Field Operations.
  • Conduct post-mortem review of unsuccessful efforts and records of outcomes toassess competitiveness in the market.

Who you are:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related filed.
  • Must have 7 years of experience as a Business Development Specialist, CivilEngineer, or a closely related position.
  • The 7 years of experience must have included working in natural gas transportation with a focus on engineering design or in a commercial role, project scoping and feasibility analysis for large-scale infrastructure projects; business development origination, including customer relationship management; contract negotiations for energy and pipeline services; and experience and knowledge of Mexican natural gas markets to create commercial opportunities and increase natural gas exports into Mexico.
  • Proficiencyin Spanish isrequired.
  • Up to 25% travel to business sites/customer locations in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
