As an Electrical Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of our liquids pipeline facilities by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning a wide range of electrical and instrumentation systems. What You Will Do:
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, install, and commission electrical systems including PLCs, instrumentation, motor control centers, motors, switchgear, substations, VFDs, and measurement equipment.

  • Perform electrical maintenance activities in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry safety standards.

  • Develop and execute equipment lockout/tagout procedures and routine maintenance plans to support safe work execution.

  • Utilize Maximo and other maintenance management systems to document work activities, maintain records, and support asset reliability initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Mechanical Technicians, Engineers, Technical Specialists, and Control Center personnel to plan and execute maintenance work efficiently.

  • Support capital and maintenance projects through design reviews, construction support, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

  • Participate in emergency response activities, maintenance on-call rotations, site security responsibilities, and continuous improvement efforts across the region.

Who You Are:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of relevant electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, or industrial operations experience.

  • Technical, vocational, or trade school education in electrical or related disciplines.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Proficiency with computer-based maintenance and business systems.

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

  • Ability to live within or relocate to within 25 miles of the reporting location.

Preferred:
  • Electrical Journeyman certification or enrollment/completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.

  • Industrial electrical experience, including HVAC/R systems.

  • Experience supporting crude oil pipeline facilities, pumping stations, terminal operations, or related energy infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, switchgear, flow meters, PLCs, motor control centers, UPS systems, and instrumentation equipment.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to pipeline operations and maintenance.

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily field-based role requiring work at pipeline stations, terminals, and outdoor facilities in varying weather conditions.

  • Participation in an on-call rotation and availability to respond to emergency situations on a 24-hour basis as required.

  • Overnight travel may be required throughout the region.

  • Exposure to industrial environments, including high-noise areas and locations where petroleum products or solvents may be present.

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting, carrying, and working around energized electrical equipment.

  • Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to all company, regulatory, and substance-free workplace requirements.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:
  • Ranges from $32.25 - $48.50 hourly/USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
