Sales Support Representative
This position has many responsibilities related to customer service, equipment, service, deliveries, and marketing related activities. Responsible for marketing and patient qualification activities, collecting necessary medical records to ensure compliant referrals and entering referrals into AdaptHealth EMR system.
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for fulfilling patient orders, documentation and delivery instructions are accurate.
  • Trains and educates patients and caregivers on use of equipment and answers any inquiries related to services or equipment.
  • Informs new patients about their rights and responsibilities, whom to contact with questions and how to contact the billing department. Responsible for informing patients about patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Discusses insurance coverage with patient and arranges payment of patient's financial responsibility.
  • Able to process credit and debit card payments using standard electronic tools.
  • Responsible for obtaining signatures of patient or caregiver for each piece of documentation including the delivery ticket, assignment of benefits, care plan, and waiver of liability.
  • Obtains all required information and medical documentation to ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of referrals. Strives to obtain MD order signatures and original prescriptions.
  • Assists with promotional rollouts and in obtaining referral source profile information.
  • Increases referral volume from facility by promotion within business lines and cross selling among business lines through solicitation/facilitation of referral orders from referral sources.
  • Acts as a resource for referral source staff regarding Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance documentation and reimbursement guidelines related to equipment and services.
  • Assists sales team in the planning and conducting of orientations and in-services to referral sources regarding equipment and services.
  • Suggests alternative equipment or services as warranted based on reimbursement limitations.
  • Maintains working knowledge of assigned Health Systems' electronic medical records, as well as AdaptHealth electronic systems.
  • Coordinates with other departments to minimize delivery expenses and provide efficient service to customers.
  • Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years' work-related experience health care, customer service, delivery personnel with sales component or entry level sales is required.
  • Prior work experience in the HME, Diabetic or Wound Supply is preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
