Healthcare Operations Manager

Department: Operations
Reports To: Executive Director / Chief Operating Officer
Position Summary:
The Healthcare Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Autism Center, ensuring efficient delivery of ABA therapy and related services while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies. This role partners with clinical, administrative, credentialing, billing, and scheduling teams to optimize patient access, staff productivity, operational performance, and financial outcomes. 
Key Responsibilities:
  •  Manage day-to-day center operations across multiple service lines and locations. 
  •  Oversee patient intake, scheduling, authorizations, and service coordination. 
  •  Ensure compliance with Medicaid, commercial insurance, HIPAA, and state regulations. 
  •  Lead provider credentialing and payer enrollment processes. 
  •  Monitor operational KPIs, including census, utilization, cancellations, productivity, and revenue cycle metrics. 
  •  Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflow improvements. 
  •  Collaborate with Clinical Directors, BCBAs, and therapy teams to support high-quality care delivery. 
  •  Supervise administrative staff and provide coaching, training, and performance management. 
  •  Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives. 
  •  Manage vendor relationships, facility operations, and operational projects. 
  •  Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient and family experience. 

Qualifications:
  •  Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field. 
  •  3–5+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience. 
  •  Experience in ABA therapy, behavioral health, autism services, or pediatric healthcare preferred. 
  •  Strong knowledge of insurance authorization, credentialing, compliance, and healthcare regulations. 
  •  Experience with EHR/EMR systems and operational reporting. 
  •  Proven leadership, project management, and process improvement skills.
