What This Role Is Responsible For
As a Shift Manager, you are responsible for leading shifts and setting clear expectations for your team. You'll plan and prepare for each shift, assign positions, and ensure the right people are in the right places at the right times. Throughout the shift, you'll coach and support crew members, recognize great performance, and address opportunities in real time.
You are accountable for delivering strong Quality, Service, and Cleanliness results by following McDonald's standards and holding the team to them. This includes overseeing food safety, monitoring safety and security practices, managing inventory and waste, and ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and running efficiently.
Shift Managers also play an important role in communication. You'll share information with fellow leaders, support department goals, and help ensure smooth transitions between shifts so the restaurant stays set up for success all day long.
️ What You'll Do Day to Day
On a typical shift, you'll lead and motivate the crew, monitor performance, take action when standards slip, and make decisions that protect the business and the guest experience. You'll use routines, checklists, and leadership tools to manage time, stay organized, and keep the shift on track.

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. We're looking for positive team players who communicate well, enjoy working with people, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability across days, nights, and weekends is important for this role.
