Serves as the primary liaison between assigned internal departments and the Marketing and Communications team, proactively focused on strategic priorities, operational initiatives and change management efforts. Working collaboratively with Marketing and Communications team members in creative services, content development, marketing and digital experience, the Business Partner develops and maintains strong relationships with assigned internal departments and guides internal communications efforts designed to help them achieve business goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field required.

Experience:

  • Three to five years of corporate communications or related experience required.
  • Internal communications communication experience preferred.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align communications efforts to organizational growth, volume and reputation goals. A deep understanding of corporate communications best practices, trends and internal communications needs specific to Memorial Health's market.
  • A deep understanding of the Memorial Health brand and voice.
  • Expert ability to review professional internal communications materials to ensure they are reflective of the Memorial Health brand and voice.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to guide the creation of complex organizational plans and materials that provide clear, compelling internal messaging.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the Manager of Internal Communications in enterprise-wide internal communications functions.
  • Proactively partners with clinical and operational teams to identify communications needs and translate business and enterprise-wide priorities into effective internal communications strategies that are impactful and inspiring to the organization and enable internal departments to meet or exceed their business goals.
  • Plans, develops and helps deploy internal communications that are aligned with organizational strategy, drive employee awareness and engagement and compel employees to take action when needed. Ensures communications are delivered through the most effective channels to reach intended internal audiences, consistent with Memorial Health System standards of excellence.
  • Follows and supports an enterprise-wide internal communications strategy and plan with initiatives that are data-informed, results driven and aligned with standards of excellence.
  • Supports the Internal Marketing Manager in measuring the effectiveness of internal communications standards, processes, improvements and best practices and adjusts as needed, cross-collaboratively with other department team members.
  • Adopts and deploys trends and best practices in corporate communications and content/writing and implements innovations to continually advance the work and improve the experience provided. Ensures materials meet regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with assigned department leaders across the enterprise. Provides strategic counsel to services lines as the team anticipates internal communications needs and proactively recommends approaches, tools, plans and messaging solutions.
  • Supports documentation of processes, team standards and cross-functional workflows to keep work continuously moving forward.
  • Maintains up-to-date records of project status, timelines, and deliverables using adopted team project tracking tools.
  • Stewards the Memorial Health System brand, ensuring consistent, high-quality brand expression across all channels and platforms. Leverages automated systems and processes when possible. Strengthens brand awareness, trust, and preference across internal audiences.
  • Adopts and uses department and organizational AI tools, leveraging them to continually advance the work and improve experience.
  • Develops annual goals consistent with Memorial Health System's Strategic Plan and Goals, and monitors the status of goal achievement using 30-day action plans.
  • Maintains professional affiliations as appropriate. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in continuing education, in-service meetings/seminars and workshops.
