Job description

Help families feel supported after the loss of a loved one.

AccentCare Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide comfort and encouragement to families during their bereavement journey. Through phone calls, handwritten cards, and thoughtful check-ins, you'll remind families they are not alone.

What You'll Do:

Make friendly bereavement check-in calls

Send sympathy and encouragement cards

Offer a listening ear and emotional support

Notify the hospice team of any concerns

Commitment:

Just 1–3 hours per week

Before You Begin:

Onboarding is completed in person at our office and includes orientation, a background check, required screenings, and hospice volunteer training.
