Job description

Hospice volunteers provide essential support and companionship to terminally ill patients and their families, assisting in various capacities to enhance the quality of life during end-of-life care.

Companionship: Spend time with patients, offering emotional support and companionship, which can include listening, talking, or simply being present.

Practical Support: Assist with daily tasks such as running errands, preparing meals, or helping with personal care activities under the supervision of nursing staff.

Respite Care: Provide breaks for family caregivers, allowing them time to rest and attend to their own needs

Bereavement Support: Support to families after a loved one has passed, which may include attending bereavement meetings or providing emotional comfort.

Relevant training and onboarding will be provided to support you as you serve your community in this unique way.
