Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier California law firm to hire an energetic, committed, and diligent senior associate or of counsel with seven or more years of litigation experience to join their Trial & Litigation Practice Group, with a partial focus on eminent domain matters. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment across the firm’s Los Angeles, San Diego, or Oakland offices.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will share the firm’s commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in dynamic areas of the law and will enjoy the strategic aspects of litigation, including crafting complex litigation strategies and presenting nuanced constitutional arguments persuasively.
Key Qualifications7+ years of litigation experience
Active California State Bar license in good standing
Excellent academic credentials
Superior analytical, research, and writing skills
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Significant experience with law and motion practice in state and federal court, including dispositive motions
Proven ability to manage and build cases for trial, including developing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and taking and defending depositions
Experience working collaboratively across teams and offices
Prior experience representing public entities or land use matters is preferred
