Job description

Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier California law firm to hire an Eminent Domain Litigation Associate. We are seeking a bright, ambitious attorney with 3–7 years of experience and a demonstrated interest or focus in real estate and eminent domain litigation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, creative thinking, and research skills.

  • Superior legal writing capabilities and a strong work ethic.

  • Experience in eminent domain, real estate, or public entity land acquisition litigation.

  • Substantive experience with law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.

  • Proven ability to build cases for trial, including developing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and taking or defending depositions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment & Compensation:

  • Salary range: $165,000–$235,000 (based on experience, qualifications, skill set, and office location).

  • Benefits: Reasonable billable hours requirement, discretionary and billable hours bonuses, competitive health insurance, 401(k) with partial match, and profit-sharing.
