Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Emergency Room (ER) to join our team. This position requires exceptional clinical judgment and teamwork to provide high-quality care to patients experiencing emergencies.

Shift Details

  • Shift: 7p - 7a
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend, including holidays when scheduled
  • No on-call requirements
Job Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough assessments and interviews with patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Delivering critical care, including administering medications and performing medical procedures as needed.
  • Managing patients with trauma, stroke, obstetrical, and advanced cardiac conditions.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Utilizing EPIC as the primary electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
  • 24 months of current/recent Emergency Department (ED) experience is required.
  • Recent travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience is highly preferred.
  • All certificates must be active, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
  • A De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) is preferred and can be obtained during onboarding.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certificate is a nice to have and can be obtained during onboarding.
Additional Requirements
  • Skills checklist must specifically relate to the Emergency Department (ED).
  • Candidates must hold an active Iowa license or a compact/multi-state license at the time of submission.
  • Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months are preferred.
  • Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications for ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification is required.
