Position Summary

The Briarwood Community is hiring an Assistant Dining Room Supervisor to join our Dining Services team. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and supervisory skills who is looking to grow in hospitality and senior dining services.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $19.00 to $20.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm with flexibility dependent on organizational needs


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up the dining room for lunch service, including table arrangement and placement of utensils and linens.
  • Wait on tables during the lunch hour, providing attentive and gracious service to residents.
  • Supervise a small team of waitstaff, ensuring they remain on task and follow departmental policies.
  • Meet, greet, and assist residents to their seats with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Clean and reset the dining room for dinner service and ensure the room is fully prepared for the following day.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency with standard dining room operations; strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems or reservation software is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families, and waitstaff.
  • Previous restaurant, food service, or supervisory experience preferred.
