Daystar Television Network is seeking a strategic and data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing Digital Engagement team. In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of our email communication strategy, directly nurturing our relationship with millions of viewers and donors.
You will transform our mission into compelling narratives that drive engagement, support, and spiritual growth through the inbox. Key Responsibilities:
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop, build, and execute end-to-end email marketing campaigns-including broadcasts, devotional series, fundraising drives, event promotions, and partner updates-from concept to analysis.
  • List Management & Segmentation: Master our audience database to create sophisticated segmentation strategies based on viewer behavior, donation history, content engagement, and demographics to deliver hyper-relevant messaging.
  • Content & Copywriting: Collaborate with ministry and content teams to write, edit, and design engaging email copy and layouts that reflect Daystar's voice, inspire action, and comply with brand guidelines.
  • Automation & Journey Building: Build and maintain automated email journeys (welcome series, nurture streams, re-engagement campaigns) using marketing automation tools to foster long-term supporter relationships.
  • Testing & Optimization: Conduct rigorous A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times to continually improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion metrics.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on key email performance metrics (deliverability, engagement, ROI). Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for strategy refinement.
  • Platform Management: Serve as the day-to-day expert for our email marketing platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, etc.), ensuring best practices in list hygiene, template design, and technical execution.
  • Compliance: Ensure all email activities adhere to CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant regulations. Required Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, preferably in a nonprofit, ministry, media, or direct-response environment. Proven track record of managing successful, large-scale email programs.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise with a major email marketing platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
  • Strong HTML/CSS skills for email template customization and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with email list management, segmentation, and marketing automation.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms (Google Analytics) and integrating email data.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Exceptional copywriting and proofreading skills with an ability to write for both spiritual inspiration and direct response.
  • A keen analytical mind with the ability to derive meaning from data and translate it into strategy.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially concerning list management, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of donor/audience lifecycle marketing principles.
  • Soft Skills: Heart for ministry and alignment with Daystar's mission. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), particularly integrating email activity with donor records.
  • Knowledge of Christian media, broadcasting cycles, and faith-based audience engagement.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for basic email asset creation.
  • Certification in email marketing platforms or digital marketing.
