Job description

Position Summary

The Account Manager is focused on identifying and growing new and existing business by presenting READY-2-XECUTE customers with our newest transportation services.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of new business accounts, with a primary focus on small to midsize companies with freight spend.
  • Target and solicit new prospects with a threshold for outreach, aiming to convert leads into active clients.
  • May be responsible for some enterprise accounts if brand new or given at a lower percentage
  • Manage new accounts "cradle to grave" to ensure a thorough understanding of client needs and the logistics process, from booking to execution.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with new clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Cold call, email, and other forms of outreach to potential clients
  • Source prospects and find introductions with small to midsize freight spend
  • Enter all appropriate information in CRM and TMS systems.
  • Direct contact with key decision makers
  • Customer facing
  • Securing Freight
    1. Answer coverage emails
    2. Proactively reach out about freight opportunities
  • Operations and service quality that ensure:
    1. All customer emails are answered within a timely manner
    2. All loads are covered
    3. All covered loads have tracking if requested, correct Planning Comment, and appropriate call-in notes
    4. All loads are fully progressed from pick up to delivery
    5. All loads in delivered status have paperwork collection progression
    6. Marking loads ready to bill in a timely manner
    7. Be aware of customer KPIโ€™s and work to reach/ overachieve them
  • Stay up to date with market conditions
    1. Set appropriate price targets
    2. Know when to lower or raise price targets based on capacity
    3. Make final decision on appropriate price to book loads
    4. Handle RFPโ€™s with assistance of management
    5. Report to management if any drastic rate changes are needed
    6. Take responsibility of FRT code performance
    7. Responsible for after-hour escalations

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (preferred)
  • Sales experience (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 yearโ€™s work experience

Compensation
