Job description

Job Summary
The Marketing intern will assist the Senior Marketing Manager and department in executing email strategy for digital engagement programs to support business initiatives. They collaborate with leadership and the marketing team to create and execute email campaigns to drive key metrics, including conversions, lead generation and traffic to our digital properties. This position will serve the Sawyer, Michigan location but can be based onsite in our Chattanooga office.
Reports to Senior Marketing Manager
Essential Functions
• Assist in day-to-day email marketing campaign execution, including planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization
• Support the collection and reporting of advertising performance metrics, including basic ROI and effectiveness measurements.
• Work under the supervision of the marketing team on the email production process and creation of every email.
• Assist in segmenting lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.).
• Execute various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in our email sends.
• QA the different versions of the email campaign, including rendering testing.
• Report on results and provide insights and recommendations.
• Optimize emails for deliverability, mobile rendering, open rates, etc.
• Create documentation for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.
• Ensure email messages are properly constructed to adhere to company positioning and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The individual in this position will spend several hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. He/she may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

Key skills and competencies of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Excellent organizational skills required.
• Experience or familiarity with using Email Service Provider (ESP) tools
• Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, and ability to generate, analyze and interpret data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
• Detail-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed, with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; Comfortably engaging with employees in a professional and helpful manner.
• Must be resourceful, able to adapt to new situations, and to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Desire to increase knowledge and learn new skills and technologies quickly and efficiently.

• Currently pursuing and undergrad degree in Marketing or a related field
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Automotive Aftermarket knowledge is preferred
