Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students in grades K 5. The ideal candidate will build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families while implementing a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and small group counseling to support students' social-emotional and behavioral needs
  • Deliver classroom guidance lessons on topics such as emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and character development
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Assist in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and MTSS processes
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate support and referrals
  • Promote a positive school climate and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records
  • Connect families with community resources and support services

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
