Job description

Aviya Aerospace Systems is a leader in engineering services and solutions for mission critical Aerospace and Defense applications. Aviya provides expertise in program management, systems, software, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the top-tier Aerospace and Defense Contractors. Aviya has an opening for an Electronic Obsolescence Project Manager to join our engineering group in Longueuil, Quebec.

Specific Position Duties
  • Provide project management leadership, engineering liaison and technical expertise. 
  • Perform supplier obsolescence risk surveys & reports. 
  • Evaluate supplier's risk mitigation proposals (Engineering change vs Last Time Buy). 
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of Engineering Changes (obsolete part replacement). 
  • Leverage Engineering & Supplier network to help drive various obsolescence technical issues to closure. 
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the Electronic Obsolescence Management Process. 
  • Provide occasional onsite technical support at suppliers. 
Qualifications for Position
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. 
  • 5+ years pertinent experience in Engineering/Operations linked to Electrical/Electronic components. 
  • Relevant Aerospace or AutomotiveExperience/knowledge is required. 
  • Must possess knowledge of Electronic Obsolescence management. 
  • Experience in Project Management is a must(PMP certification not mandatory). 
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be autonomous, organized, and efficient. 
  • Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Must be bilingual in French and English.
  • Willing to occasionally travel to support our worldwide supply base.
