About the Role:
3LED Group is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at our Randolph, Vermont facility.
This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and predictable factory execution. The Production Manager will lead production teams, drive schedule attainment, improve productivity, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, developing teams, solving problems, and creating a culture of accountability and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Leadership:
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations and production personnel.
  • Ensure production schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Monitor labor utilization, throughput, and productivity.
  • Drive accountability for production performance and operational standards.
Schedule Execution:
  • Partner with planning and operations teams to execute production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor work order status and ensure timely completion of customer orders.
  • Escalate material shortages or operational risks proactively.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
  • Maintain quality standards and support corrective actions when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Support implementation of standard work, training programs, and operational best practices.
Team Development:
  • Coach, train, and develop production personnel and supervisors.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish clear expectations for team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, and Quality teams.
  • Support introduction of new products and process improvements.
  • Participate in operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, labor management, productivity improvement, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to lead by example and build credibility with production teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electronics assembly, PCB assembly, electromechanical products, lighting products, or engineered manufacturing environments preferred.
