Job Summary

The Production Manager is a handsโ€‘on manager responsible for overseeing all production operations while leading continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This role directly manages production team leads and frontline operators, ensuring effective dayโ€‘toโ€‘day execution while driving lean transformation, operational excellence, and sustained performance improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Production Leadership & Operations:
    • Manage daily production activities across manufacturing (casting, machining, paint, trim) and assembly (mechanical, electronic).
    • Execute production schedules and assign tasks to team leads and available resources.
    • Monitor production output, resolve issues, and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
    • Maintain daily presence on the production floor to support execution and accountability.
    • Develop and coach team leads and frontline employees; manage performance, timekeeping, attendance, and labor utilization.
    • Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and engagement.
  • Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership:
    • Lead and implement lean strategies and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
    • Deploy lean tools/methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and A3 problem solving.
    • Identify process inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and improve operational flow.
    • Facilitate Kaizen events and crossโ€‘functional improvement workshops; champion a continuous improvement culture.
  • Performance Management:
    • Establish and track KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
    • Ensure visibility of performance metrics across production teams.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years of production management, supervision, or manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing team leads and frontline employees.
