Job description

JOB FUNCTION
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations on organize, plan, direct and control all manufacturing activities (materials, personnel, facilities, methods, etc.) on production floor and deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Operations Director to develop most optimal operation strategy.
  • Ensure operation goals for quality, productivity, delivery and customer satisfaction are achieved.
  • Manage daily production activities including production schedule review, material issues follow-up, resource management (people, machines, etc.), and production procedure development and implementation.
  • Interact with cross-functional groups to improve operation/process efficiency affecting on-time delivery and quality, and to facilitate the NPI projects to floor.
  • Ensure measurement system is implemented to track process performance.
  • Plan capacity ramp-up proposal in terms of manpower, machines, space, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability to act as a mentor for staff and subordinates.
  • Motivate team to meet production schedule with quality and on-time delivery, and help them grow thru training to develop their skills.
  • Provide general supervision for direct labor staff.
  • Drive 5S activities on production floor.
  • Cost control and waste reduction.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:                

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent.

Experience:               

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production supervisory/management of Electronics Manufacturing Service Industry.  Knowledgeable to SMT is a plus.              

Skills:                         

  • Academic / Functional skills to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ability to recognize, train and develop supervisors/operators.
  • Basic Quality, ISO 9000 and industrial safety concept/knowledge  
  • Communication and mediation skills.
