Job Title: Production Supervisor

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, supervising employees on the manufacturing floor, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and supporting operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, safety-focused, and capable of leading teams while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production operations and employees on the shop floor.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.

• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturing standards.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and ISO 9001 requirements.

• Train, coach, and support production employees to improve performance and efficiency.

• Conduct employee performance evaluations, attendance monitoring, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

• Monitor product quality and work closely with Quality teams to address defects and corrective actions.

• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and shift coordination based on production demands.

• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.

• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, HR, and Quality departments to support operational goals.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and increased productivity.

• Ensure proper housekeeping and organization standards are maintained throughout the facility.

• Support inventory control and material handling processes as needed.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of production processes, safety procedures, and manufacturing operations.

• Experience handling employee coaching, attendance management, and disciplinary actions.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, reports, and work instructions.

• High level of professionalism, accountability, and dependability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication, assembly, warehouse, or industrial manufacturing operations.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and manufacturing documentation requirements.

• Experience using ERP or manufacturing tracking systems.

• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
