Manufacturing Engineer responsible for Inspection processes (AOI, AXI, cross sectioning, laser profiler, vision systems, etc.) for Power Electronics Manufacturing.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.ย 
  • 2+ years experience in Manufacturing/Assembly utilizing heavily or fully automated high-volume production.
  • Experience with AOI and AXI (X-Ray/CT)
  • Prior experience working in ISO clean room environment manufacturing power electronics
  • Familiarization of ESD controls and measures for handling power electronics
  • Data driven mentality and decision-making process.ย ย 
  • Application experience in computers and electronics.ย ย 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.ย ย 
  • Ability to learn product function.ย ย 
  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.ย ย 
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team.

This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $74,300-$166,200. ย ย

What you'll do...

  • Lead the specification, procurement, build, installation and launch of Powertrain Production equipment related to Inspection of powertrain power electronics components.ย ย 
  • Develop and deliver standardized processes and equipment in line with global powertrain strategies.ย ย 
  • Develop and implement manufacturing process associated with Inspection of power electronics (AOI, AXI, cross sectioning, laser profiler, vision systems, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to achieve product requirements that meet Manufacturing Design Specifications for power electronics with feasible expectations in the Engineering Specification (ES).ย 
  • Support the Prototype Engineering/Pilot Manufacturing process to determine feasible inspection solutions and methodology during the early stages of new programs.ย ย 
  • Troubleshoot production issues impacting FTT and warranty, determine corrective actions to the part, processes and/or equipment.ย 
  • Travel to supplier facilities and Ford Manufacturing plants will be required (10-30%)
