Ramon.Space is seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Leader to join our innovative team.

In this role you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing advanced digital satellite communication systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, specifically in developing embedded systems for space applications, and a robust background in telecom, ideally in developing digital telecom payloads for satellites.

Experience with European Space Agency (ESA) lead projects is a significant advantage.


What you will be doing

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary R&D team developing digital telecom payloads and embedded systems for satellite applications.
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from inception to production, ensuring adherence to project timelines and milestones.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies, processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with adjacent teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering teams, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Manage project resources, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and spec.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the engineering teams.
  • Mentor and develop engineering team members, providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams developing embedded systems, particularly for space applications.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing cellular networks.
  • Experience in leading a system architecture stage of a project.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of embedded telecom systems.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communication principles and satellite communication protocols.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug complex embedded systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
