Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Workforce Benefits team as an Electronic Data Exchange Analyst!
About the Role
As an EDX Analyst, you will process file feeds for voluntary, life, and disability benefits by creating customized implementation plans, specifications, SFTP's, and feed testing for various sized policyholders. You will process ongoing feeds to find and correct data issues, including eligibility and contract rules. Advanced knowledge of analytical techniques and ability to escalate issues as needed after data interpretation is required. EDX Analysts must be driven to learn more about business analysis, processes and systems to help develop skill set and set up quality feeds for end users.
What you will do
  • Determine which activities are necessary in order to complete file feed processing from implementation to active production file management.
  • Develop processes that will be used to manage requirements.
  • Build relationships with business partners including users, vendors, project team, and management at all levels.
  • Utilize basic analysis techniques to measure the quality of the data exchanged using business analysis techniques during feed testing.
  • Develop a communication plan during feed implementation to meet the needs of all business partners.
  • Manage conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and the end users remain in agreement on the data exchange.
  • Utilize requirements and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Maintains traceability of the requirements from planning through post-production phases of files to ensure quality of delivery.
  • Identify business needs, refine and clarify the definition of the needs and validate the solution meets the needs.
  • Prioritize and progressively elaborate stakeholder and solution requirements in order to enable the end user to implement a solution that will meet the needs of the organization and stakeholders.
  • Assess the proposed solution due to data limitations to determine which solution best fits the business need, identify gaps in the solution, and determine necessary workarounds or changes to the solution.
  • Process all first production files for newly implemented feeds to ensure data is clean and accurate before transitioning to production.

Compensation
$60,100 - $100,100 annually plus eligibility for Company Annual Bonus program
