    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Anthropology Department
    •  

    • Start Date
    • Positions available on or after Aug 19, 2026 and ending on or before May 28, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with electronic data entry for archaeological/historical resource documents.
      • Assist with scanning of archaeological/historical resource documents.
      • Assist with database entry and GIS mapping/digitizing. 
      • Assist with the operation of the Central California Information Center.
      • Other duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Previous experience with the CCaIC GIS ArcMap and Database technical programs.
      • Previous experience with independent analysis and problem solving activities.
      • It is preferred that the incumbent be an upper classmen.
      • It is preferred that the incumbent has taken and passed, Introduction to Archaeology and any other upper division Archaeology courses.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

    • $18.50 per hour.
